About Us

Of Wood Creations was created from an interest in woodworking.  My family name of Van Hout, which is Dutch, means "of wood".  A Dutch friend of mine said my ancestors could have been carpenters or even have lived in a wooded area.  There are carpenters in my family history and others who were skilled working with their hands.  Even my children enjoy helping me in the workshop.

I have taken my joy of woodworking and created a way for me to share my love of woodworking with others.
